August 30 marks my nameday and in Greece namedays are a thing.
When the above stunning -and freely embellished- portrait of me, executed by Constantine Vraziotis in his trademark style, landed on my facebook timeline I was overwhelmed with joy.
Constantine is hands down the best pop-surrealist in Greece and an overall standout artist and illustrator. He is also one of those people who ought to have been born elsewhere. Despite his considerate local renown and cult following, the market is simply too small for his talent. He has worked with some of the top fashion magazines worldwide and has been included in books like Illustration Now but I know he has yet to realise his full potential. I keep begging him to relocate elsewhere. But it seems he loves Greece to much.
In the meantime I keep enriching my collection with his amazing art.
Marvel at some exquisite fashion-inspired portraits of his below ⇩ and make sure to follow him on Instagram for more art swag.
